Theremin Simulation Using Leap Motion
Staurovský, Maroš ; Zahrádka, Jiří (referee) ; Najman, Pavel (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is the creation and implementation of application that simulates playing the theremin by using Leap Motion sensor and MIDI protocol. This sensor allows us to detect movement of hands and recognition of gestures in the monitored area. This is  used in the aplication to simulate the same principle that is used for playing theremin. Unlike this instrument we are able to produce sound of different instruments which is accomplished by using MIDI. The Leap Motion sensor and MIDI protocol are detailed in the theoretical part of the thesis.
Game Interface with Data Projector and Leap Motion
Tomeček, Adam ; Najman, Pavel (referee) ; Zahrádka, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with creating of game interface for projector and palm motion sensor Leap Motion. It describes principles of projection mapping on objects and different types of projection mapping and its use. Practical part deals with designing game interface for Leap Motion and projector and designing of demonstration games. It also describes the procedure of testing created game interface and games programmatically and with users.
User Interface for 3D Applications (and also 2D Applications in 3D)
Švasta, Michael ; Hradiš, Michal (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor's thesis is to design and implement a software, which can be controlled by a using hands free gestures. This thesis contains a description of the Leap motion technology and possibilities of development for this device. Further, there is introduction of graphical user interface and then there is detailed description of its individual parts. Last section of thesis presented methods of testing and results of these tests.
3D Drawing Using Leap Motion
Semerák, Jakub ; Zahrádka, Jiří (referee) ; Najman, Pavel (advisor)
The goal of this thesis was to create a simple 3D drawing application that uses Leap Motion controller. This application was designed to test gesture-based interaction versus keyboard controls. It was found that gesture-based interaction is not as effective as interaction combined with keyboard. However, when users interact with the application for a prolonged period of time, the noticeable acceleration of gesture-based interaction could be observed.
Game Interface with Data Projector and Leap Motion
Kendra, Matej ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Najman, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis describes various game interfaces for human and gradually there are shown more modern and common available interfaces. Work closely describes how you can play games on a regular projector and sensors for gestures detection - Kinect and Leap Motion. This work focus on evaluation of aspects of table-game design with these components and also on display view calibration between projector and Leap Motion. Part of the project is devoted to describing the board game Catan, of which rules are taken to write down specification and options of player. According to this knowledge is then described the design of the play-set and the design of several interfaces of the game. Implementation is briefly described and final chapters covers forms of the testing methods of interfaces and testing evaluation from user perspective.
3D Game Controlled by Leap Motion Sensor
Hajdin, Martin ; Kobrtek, Jozef (referee) ; Najman, Pavel (advisor)
This paper deals with the user interface design and control of computer game by using Leap Motion. The design of the game is „Endless Runner" type and was implemented in Unity3D using C# language. This game has been tested to simplicity, intuitiveness, convenience and entertaining of Leap Motion control compared to interaction with the keyboard or Gamepad. Evaluation of the implemented control was tested by users. The result of testing has proved that the Leap Motion control does not differ from the keyboard or Gamepad. However, most of users would prefer control by Leap Motion.
Interaction Device for Augmented Reality
Pavlenko, Peter ; Kapinus, Michal (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)
This master thesis explores interactive augmented reality. The aim is to design, create andtest device, which allows interaction between user and augmented reality. First analyzesaugmented reality, devices for its displaying and necessary calibration methods. Then, onthe basis of acquired knowledge, shows design and construction of few prototypes of devicelike this. Finally it shows experiments to test correctness of the concept.
Contactless User Authentification Using Leap Motion Sensor
Lukáč, Jakub ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Najman, Pavel (advisor)
Contactless authentication of users has grown in popularity as a new technology. Recent findings in the field of computer vision and its applications have contributed to the emergence of new devices such as Leap Motion controller. This device is capable of precise recognition of hand positions and simple gestures identification. This paper presents an application of data gathered from controller's interface and using them for user identification. Proposed solution uses hand geometry to evaluate the recognition process where this accessible and inexpensive device can be used. Therefore, the user can easily benefit from this extra feature coming with the new device. To conclude, the results show overall accuracy over 99 % on a relatively small dataset.
Photo Explorer with Leap Motion
Sanitrák, Michal ; Najman, Pavel (referee) ; Zahrádka, Jiří (advisor)
The goal of this thesis was to design and create photo explorer application, which can be controlled by hand gestures using the Leap Motion sensor. Application was implemented in Java programming language using the JavaFX platform. Photo explorer has a clear user interface and can be controlled with hand gestures. The application is multiplatform and can be run on Linux and Windows.
Data Projector Drawing with Leap Motion
Cilip, Peter ; Najman, Pavel (referee) ; Zahrádka, Jiří (advisor)
Purpose of this bachelor´s thesis is to design interface for application, that is using projector and sensor leap motion. Application is divided to 2 applications, calibration and drawing. Designed interface should be implemented in one of optional programming languages. Thesis is focused on calibration and calibration methods used in computer vision and drawing application. The result of work is multiplatform application written in C++ programming language and Qt library, that uses leap motion and projector to draw.
